I am grateful

I am grateful for the people in my life. Not the ones who were often into trying to make me feel bad for being different from them..not the ones who felt they were doing good but only judged me for what they did not understand..but i am grateful for the calm, kind, humble, no nonsense people who show what they are inside as outside and move on. these people do not earn, have degrees from well reputed unis and so on but they are beautifully humane and they excel in that. I respect them for that. There is no pretention. No trying to make them feel superior by trying to put you down in a subtle way. Then pushing you to help them and so on. These people are who they were, who they are and who they will always be. My body feels calm around them. There is no need for a performance. No need to

The Worst Time to Fall Sick

The Worst Time to Fall Sick

I think the worst part about falling sick is when it happens at a time you were supposed to be enjoying yourself. I was visiting my hometown, surrounded by cousins and family , and somehow ended up spending almost five days doing nothing but lying in bed. It started quite unexpectedly, the night before I fell sick , the fan was running at full speed. I remember feeling extremely cold and shivering , but I didn’t think much of it. I certainly didn’t imagine that I would wake up sick the next day. The following morning, I was completely fine, I even put oil in my hair because I planned to wash it. But after few moments when I was doing my classes, my head started pounding terribly, my entire body felt like it was burning, and my eyes became swollen. I still had oily hair which somehow made t

The Invisible Mechanics

The Invisible Mechanics

I kept my dark thoughts to myself yesterday, but today I felt the need to cast this out into the void anonymously. Just in case someone else out there feels like a ghost in their own city. My back still aches today, and the London rain hasn't let up. But while I was contorted under another leaking sink this morning, I started thinking about what I felt yesterday—that crushing sense that I'm just hiding the city's decay behind polished drywall. My first call was to a small, independent bakery in Soho. The owner looked exactly as exhausted as I felt. He told me he’d been up since 3:00 AM kneading dough so the suits could grab a fresh croissant on their way to the Tube. Most of his customers will never see him; they just see the pastry in the display case. He is just the hands that make the b

She stayed with me

The rain was extremely heavy today, the kind of rain that makes it difficult to See properly once you step Outside. I was in the Metro with my friend, and by the time we reached Our station, the rain had become even heavier. We stood there for a moment, looking out side and wondering how we were going to get home. My friend managed to find a rickshaw, which was honestly a relief because standing outside the rain did not feel like a good idea. But when we looked inside, there was only one seat available. My friend could have easily taken the rickshaw and left. Honestly, I would have understood. The rain was so heavy, and everyone was trying to find a way home. She had found a rickshaw, so would have been the easiest option for her. But she did not leave. She looked at me and she said “

The beauty of ordinary days

When I think about my favourite memories, I often notice that many of them are not connected to big achievement or special days. Instant, they come from ordinary days that seemed completely normal at the time. Those days did not have exciting plans or unforgotten event yet this stayed with me. For a long time, I believe that happiness had to come from something big. I thought I needed exciting trips, important milestones, or perfect movement to feel satisfied. But as I have grown, I have started to appreciate the beauty of simple, every day life. An ordinary day can begin with a peaceful morning, a good cup of tea or sunlight coming through the window or I’m just sitting in the balcony while listening music. It can be a day when I finish my work, organise my room, talking to my family or

The small, quiet moments that saved my life

The small, quiet moments that saved my life

Lately, life has felt like a non-stop blur of endless tasks and background noise, leaving me completely drained before the afternoon even hits. But today, I caught myself actually stopping to appreciate the quiet spaces in between the chaos. It started with that first sip of morning coffee- not just drinking it to wake up, but actually noticing how warm and grounding it felt. Then, a random, nostalgic song from years ago played on my drive, and it instantly took me back to simpler times. Honestly, it brought on this sudden waves of genuine peace that I haven't felt in weeks. It's so easy to get stucked into the daily grind and ignore how tightly we're holding our breath, but taking a second to just sit and exhale completely shifted my mood. It reminded, these tiny, ordinary slices of comf

the joy of being alive

there is not much that can truly encapsulate the joy of being alive as much as being with your loved ones can. a certain moment in which the entire household is filled with laughter, when we collapse into tears as the combined happiness overwhelms us all, and the good that we made together lies cold under the cutlery in our hands. seasons change, and the earth resumes its gentle march onwards, and all of a sudden, the children have grown up. and yet, the house is filled with the same laughter it always had, echoing in the walls and every inch of the space, as if no one truly left. and then, at the very end, we hold one another, and the joy of being alive is found once more.

The quite rooms we built

There is a distinct kind of silence that settles in when you choose to disconnect from the noise of the world. Few months back my life was contained in a small room and its four walls or maybe it was a self imposed exile. The world outside kept moving but mine slowed down to the rhythm of scratching pens and turning pages. But you see, social media has a strange cruel way of making everyone else’s life look happy and perfect. You scroll for a second and you see milestones achieved while you are on the same chair since years anticipating the future and accepting past failures. It is easy to feel invisible then. Everyday it hits me in the evening, troubles me for a while but the cup of tea cools down my nerves and I again feel a grounding comfort in this solitude. The world keeps spinning a

The comfort of wearing old clothes.

Some days, nothing feels better than wearing old clothes. The comfort of wearing old clothes is something I cherish deeply. These are the faded T-shirt and soft pyjamas that have been with me for years. They feel familiar and safe, almost like an old friend who has been always there. New clothes look good, but often feels stiff at first. Old clothes, however, have always adjusted to my body. They are soft from many washes and carry a special kind of comfort that new ones cannot match. Wearing them at home after a long day, feels like a warm hug. The moment I change into them, I feel like stress of the day slowly, we begins to disappear. These clothes also carry memories. A particular shirt reminds me of fun trip. An old sweater brings back school days. A comfort Hoodie, remind me of quiet

My relationship with silence

Today, I spent some time sitting quietly without any music , TV or phone. At first, it felt a little strange because I am so used to having some kind of background noise around me after a few minutes. I noticed that the silence no longer felt empty instant it felt calm and peaceful. It made me think about how my relationship with silence has changed over time. When I was younger i often felt uncomfortable in silence. I thought that every quiet moment needed to be filled with conversation, music, or something to keep me busy. Silence made me feel restless, and I would quickly find something to distract myself. I believe that a quiet room was boring, and I really appreciate those peaceful moments. Now I see silence in a different way. It has become a place where I can slow down and breathe.

A small act of kindness

Recently, I was reminded that even a very small act of kindness can make a big difference. It does not always have to be something grand or unforgettable. Sometime a simple smile, a kind word or a thoughtful gesture is enough to make someone’s day a little brighter. I experienced one of those moment today and It stayed with me long after it happened. I was feeling a little tired and distracted for most of the day. There was nothing seriously wrong, but my mind was busy with different thoughts. I had a few things to finish, and i was worried about whether i was doing good enough. During that time, someone spoke to me with genuine kindness. It was a small conversation, but they listen carefully, smile warmly, and made me feel comfortable. It was such a simple moment yet it completely change

The sound of wind

Name one small thing from today that you almost missed. Why did it matter? Today I almost missed the sound of the wind. It was not dramatic and it was not loud. Just a soft breeze moving through the leaves of a tree outside my window. If I had not looked up from what I was doing on my phone I probably would not have noticed at all. For a few seconds I simply listened. The leaves rustled gently and the birds answered from somewhere near by anr the branches swayed as though they were dancing to the music that only they could hear. Nothing extraordinary happened. There was not a life changing realization waiting for me. Somehow a tiny moment felt important for me. I realise how much of life passes by while we are looking at something else. We spend our days chasing deadlines and replyi
