When I was a teen, I used to compose songs. I felt the rush, the anguish, the heartache, the despair, the unrequited slap of love. After getting married and becoming a father, things changed. I lost my edge. I softened. Fatherhood won. Nothing but dusty cassette tapes left.

It looks almost unrecognizable. The full blossom of a rose... Compared to it's beginning Like a infant soul... Transformed... Into maturity Yet it stands... At each phase of growth... In beauty... Preparing for it's magnificence... Moment of glory And then withers to dust Autumn

Happy, spooky, Harry Potter vibes, everyone.

Someone's feeling it. No?

Curious. Laces or laceless? Thoughts?

Autumn rose. Air cooled. Waiting for enough sun to be safe. Cloudy, moving quilt. Rain seems possible. Sunlight is stubborn. Come now. It's time to walk. Don't cha know?

Sunrise was breathtaking this morning. Hope you had the same light show.

Scrattered moonlight in the West. Amazing sunrise is tuned up and ready for the sunlight show. The East's headband of peach sky is growing brighter. But no camera could capture its splendor. Only the naked eye. And the imagination of the divine heart.

Geeez, that tank came out of nowhere.

Wow, military helicopter up close.

Now, I discovered the words to Taps.

What is it about pumpkins? A moment of creative seizure.

This is what happens when you shop at 5 and Below. Snap! Oh, well, there goes the plans for a workout. It used to be a stretch band like a huge rubber band. Now, it's a useless strip of plastic. Good I got 3 set 12 reps in before it snapped. "The best made plans..."

Ozone level warning. Had to walk while its effects are mild. Caught a couple skeletons under the hidden moon.

As promised... pic of freshly mowed lawn. Love when birds dive bomb right after I cut the acre of grass. Not sure why. I know they are just hunting for seed, bugs, and worms. But it sure looks like playing to me.

Texas October Monday morning. Time to mow.

Marveling at the snowy blanket of cirrus clouds.

Dark morning. 60 degrees. Cool 20 mph winds. Each breeze is accented with a tinge of a rain droplet. Warming comforting feel of sweats on my skin. Thomas Kincaid-like light in a street lamp falls against a turbulent clouded sunrise. The burning sun caught below the horizon.

Sunlight doesn't arrive like a lightning bolt. No, it comes little-by-little until it peeks over the horizon. Too subtle to be noticed then, it's there on scene. These tiny acts of almost unseen movement reflect the pace of growth. Shine on. Mock the dare of darkness.

Every petal reminds me of life in abundance. Man invented scarcity. It's a myth even taught in economics. But it's absent in our natural world. In truth, there is always enough to go around. And you, my friend, are enough, just as you are.

Tell us about yourself. You just wrote the letter to answer that prompt. It's waiting in this mailbox. What does it say?

Service announcement to all who worry and fret... four letters. S-oak in the moment, right now. T-ake time to breathe. O-pen to new possibilities P-ray for new found faith The alternative doesn't ever compare. What are you holding onto?

Sometimes the life road you travel on grows dark. Other times, it gets foggy. Keep moving. Light's bound to follow. Momentum is key.

Leading lines. To where? Only a road's curves reveal. My part is showing up each day and trusting my steps are guided not taken. Where's your life's road leading you today?

...yet another gloriously cool, Autumn π morning greets me. I'm getting spoiled... too quick.

Would a flower by any other name smell as sweet?

Bed head hair this morning? Remember, we comb because we care. How's your Thursday going?

Praise God. Welcome, Autumn. Old friend, it's been so long since we've last seen each other. Oh, how I missed you.

To the naked eye, moon and sun seem two opposing worlds. But as you watch one fade into the other, you begin to grasp what St. Francis meant when he said, "Brother sun and sister moon." For without the sun, we could see no moon. And without the moon, we would long for the sun
