I know you love me, but was it enough?

You love me so you tell me your stories, but not that enough to ask mine.
You love me so you enjoy eating the food i make you, but not that enough to ask have i eaten yet.
You love me so you come to see me, but not that enough to bring me flowers.

You love me so you make jokes, but not that enough to realise that they are about me.
You love me so you ask my consent, but not that enough to take my "no" as answer.
You love me so you want to care about me, but not that enough to think that what I wear is my choice.


You love me so you became possessive,but not that enough to see that you are hurting me.
You love me so you begged me not to leave, but not that enough to treat me right.
You love me so you apologise every time, but not that enough to change.


You love me so you made me cry, but not that enough to make me smile.


You love me so you let me go,but not that enough to make me stay.
