We Are Becoming Experts Of Leaving Things For "One Day"
I don't know when "one day" became my favourite day of the week.
One day I will learn that language.
One day I will read that book sitting on my shelf.
One day I will call that friend I haven't spoken to in month.
One day I will start wakeing up early.
The strange thing is, "one day" never argues with us. It quietly accepts every dream, every plan every promise we postpone. It never complaints that we have been using it as an excuse for years.

"550/- for nothing. I don't even use my phone that much. I have hardly made 20-25 calls in the last month. All those were work related. They ended in less than a minute. Only a few were above 5 minutes. I don't use my mobile data because of the WiFi. I am hardly using anything and still paying 550/- per month. The corporate postpaid plan is literally robbing me," I was venting out to my mom.
"Why don't you change it then?" My mom innocently asked me.

Yesterday I had participated in a study. This study was about the product's country of origin. One of the questions that was asked me was if I check the country of origin of the products that I buy. I selected yes. Because of course I do check the country of origin for each and every purchase. It is not a recent habit.
I remember when I was a child I put go out for a purchasing groceries with my dad every Sunday. We want go to a nearby shop. Dad would have the list of items to be purchased with him. We put go across all the isles to pick up the things we wanted to purchase. Something that dad taught me at a very young age. I think my future self would be grateful that I didn't wait. Not for the perfect moment. Not until I felt completely confident. Not until everything in my life was neatly figured out. Just that....I started.
It's funny how we postpone our lives. We tell ourselves we'll begin excercising next Monday. Well will read that book when things calm down. We will apply for that job when we are good Enough. We will chase our dreams when we have more money more time or more courage. We keep pushing our lives a little further into the future, forgetting that the future is built from the choices we make today.
If there's one thing I hope my future self thanks me for, it's choosing progress over perfection.
