Welcome back to another episode of People Who Have No Idea What They’re Doing But Somehow Have Opinions About Everything.
Today’s episode is sponsored by overthinking, unrealistic expectations, and the audacity to wake up every morning believing that today will somehow be different. 😭
Let’s begin.1. THE PRODUCTIVITY GURU 🤡Me at 11 PM: Tomorrow, I will wake up at 5 AM, exercise, study for six hours, eat healthy, organise my room, learn a new skill, and transform my entire personality.Me at 5 AM: Whoever invented mornings needs to be investigated.Me at 9 AM: It’s not too late to start.

Me at 2 PM: I’ll start properly tomorrow.Me at 11 PM: Tomorrow, I will wake up at 5 AM.At this point, my future self deserves financial compensation for all the responsibilities I’m continuously transferring to her. 💀2. THE FAMILY NEWS CHANNEL 📺Indian families don’t need television subscriptions because they have something better: relatives.
One aunt knows who got married, another knows who got divorced, and a third somehow knows that your neighbour’s daughter has started drinking green tea.
Meanwhile, you could secretly win an international award, and your family would still ask, “That’s nice, beta, but what are you planning to do next?”
EXCUSE ME? CAN I ENJOY MY CURRENT ACHIEVEMENT FOR AT LEAST SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS? 😭And God forbid you close your bedroom door.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING INSIDE?”Nothing, apparently. Just committing the unforgivable crime of existing privately.
3. THE FINANCIAL PLANNING DEPARTMENT 💸
My bank account and I are currently going through a difficult phase.I want a new wardrobe, skincare products, beautiful jewellery, books, cute stationery, anda peaceful life in the mountains. My bank account wants me to stop opening shopping applications. We’re both setting boundaries, but
unfortunately, only one of us has purchasing power. The worst part is adding everything to the cart, calculating the total, removing half the products, calculating again, and finally closing
the application like I’ve just survived a corporate merger.Congratulations to everyone who has ever removed something from their cart and then spent the next three days thinking about it.
Your sacrifice will not be forgotten. 🫡
4. THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE DEPARTMENT 🧠I’ve reached an age where I understand the importance of communication, boundaries, emotional maturity, and self-respect.Unfortunately, I’ve also reached an age where one slightly different text message can turn me into a detective investigating a multinational
conspiracy.“They used a full stop.”“They usually use a heart emoji.”“They replied after 17 minutes.”Ladies and gentlemen, we have officially
entered the Crime Investigation Department. The suspect? Someone who was probably just eating dinner. The evidence? Absolutely nothing. The verdict? I need a nap. 😭😂
5. THE FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT 📢
Dear Spotlight family, remember that nobody has everything figured out. Some people are building careers. Some are healing. Some are falling in love. Some are falling asleep while watching motivational videos about building careers. And some of us are simply trying to remember why we entered the kitchen. We’re all on different journeys, and that’s perfectly fine.So drink your water, complete that assignment, stop arguing with imaginary people in the shower, and please stop creating fictional scenarios that make you angry at real people.Your brain is a powerful organ.Unfortunately, yours has been using 97% of its processing power to replay an embarrassing conversation from 2019.
Thank you for attending today’s episode of Life Is a Circus, and Somehow We’re Both the Clowns and the Audience.Until next time, stay hydrated, stay dramatic, and remember:
You may not have your life together, but at least your problems are getting character development. 😭🎪💀

This was so me at the age of 25. I would get irritated when a relative would ask me what next. I would become private investigator over one unusual social media post. But as we age, things change, and these irks no longer bother us. So yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Though we have not figured out yet, there will still be a future.

I write about the little things we often ignore—the quiet thoughts, ordinary moments, and emotions that stay with us long after the day ends.
