In January 2026 I left my stressful and high paying corporate job. From February 2026 I started working as a freelancer. I had joined a couple of platforms from where I had been doing small freelance projects. This project had been short term and were paying me just fine.
But there was one of the major of platforms for which I was eagerly waiting. At that platform I had submitted my application for various projects and roles. For some of the projects I got selected but either the project did not arrive or it was shorter than the company's expectations. Due to this fact despite being selected I was unable to work on any of their projects.
It was the last week of July 2026. I received an email from that platform informing that a big project had come to them. They had seen my previous app…
I considered myself to be a health conscious person. As a woman in 30s I am careful with what I consume and try to eat clean. As much as possible I try to avoid overprocessed foods like cake, cookies, ice cream etc. I also am someone who rarely gets food cravings. If I get craving for a particular food I assume that I am unwell. Generally what I had observed is that whenever my blood pressure goes down before that I get sugar or salt cravings. My biggest win right now is not a trophy, a job, or a huge achievement. It is the fact that I haven’t given up on myself.
I’m still learning. I’m still growing. I’m still dreaming.
And maybe becoming a better version of myself is the most beautiful win of all. 🤍✨
What did you handle better this time than you would have a year ago?
A year ago, I thought every problem needed an immediate solution. If something went wrong I would overthink it for days. I would replay the conversations in my head wonder what I could have done differently and convince myself that every mistake was much bigger than it really was. I carried little disappointment like they were permenent scres giving them far more power then they deserved.
Today, I still worry. I still overthink sometimes. But I have noticed something has changed. I have became better at letting time do it's job.
Not every uncomfortable feeling needs to be fixed today. Not every unanswered message means someone is upset. Not every setback is the beginning of failure. I have learned that many problems …
