This is such a brilliant opening. "A woman smuggling a very soft body" - that line is so visual and funny. And the teenager's reaction "Oh no. She's back and she's brought friends" made me laugh out loud.
And that hook about the note folded into a tiny square in the inside pocket, you have me completely invested. Can't wait to read what the note says.
