If someone asked me to name my favourite Tamil rom com I would probably say Sachien without much hesitation. There are technically better filems and bigger blockbusters and more emotionally intense stories. But Sachein has a special charmvthat keeps bringing me back. It is one my those comfort movies that never gets old no matter how many times I watch it.

What I live most about Sachien is how simple and genuine it feels. The story is not built around huge action sequences or dramatic twists. Instead it focuses on college life and friendships and misunderstanding and the awkward journey of falling in love. The characters feel natural and their interactions are entertaining without being forced.

Another thing I like is the atmosphere of the film. It was filmed in Cochin( I am not sure). The mountain and the fog in the scene just elevates the beauty further. Vijay is incredibly likable and naturally charming. His performance is relaxed and playful and full of personality. He does not try to be larger than life. His happy go lucky personality and his humour and his smiling face does wonder with the film.

Genelia is equally wonderful and brings things so much energy and innocence to this role. Their chemistry is one of the major reasons the film is one of my favourites. I will always smile unconsciously whenever Sachien teases Genelia or generally when he smiles.

The comedy is another aspect that makes this film memorable. The humour with Vadivelu has worked out as usual. The supporting cast also equally contributes to the film's lightheaded atmosphere.

The music deserves special mention as well. Every single fites perfectly within the story and enhancesvthe emotions of characters. The soundtrack captures the youthful and romantic spirit of the film beautifully and even now 2 of those songs are ruling my playlist now.

However the part that truly makes Sachien special for me is the climax. While the entire movie is enjoyable the airport scene at the then end is what truly transforms it from a good romantic comedy to a memorable love story. There is something incredibly cute and heartwarming about the way everything comes together. The famous dialogue
"Phone pannuvingala"
"Panna maaten"

"Message?"
"Annupa maaten"

"E mail?"
"Elutha maaten"

"Seri atleast...love?"

It is one of my favourite dialogues all time for me. The way they both delivered never failed to make me smile. God even now I am smiling. Sachien's charming smile and his smug smirk was the head turning thing about this film.

I would recommend Sachien to anyone who enjoys feel good movie. It is the perfect choice for the people who live light hearted romance and monrable characters and stories that leave you with a smile. In a world were many movies try to impress through scale and spectacle this movie succeeds through warmth and charm and sincerity.

For me it's lovable character and the timeless Humour and the beautiful music and especially that adorable airport flmix are what makes it one of the most re-watch able and beloved tamil moves ever made for me.
