Patriotism, to me, is more than waving a flag, singing an anthem, or celebrating national days. It's caring about the country even when there's nothing to celebrate. It's respecting its people, questioning what needs to change, standing against injustice, and wanting better for everyone, not just those who think like you. Loving your country doesn't mean believing it's perfect or agreeing with everything it does. Sometimes, the most honest form of patriotism is having the courage to point out its flaws and the hope to work towards fixing them. Because a country isn't just its borders, history, or government; it's the people who call it home. 🇮🇳

How is showing respect to national symbols not an act of patriotism is what I fail to understand. Patriotism is not limited to anthem and flag, but it is the precursor is what I was taught. That is one of the reasons why at all major events, the national anthem of winner is played and they wave their national flag.

Lessons of patriotism are much needed today when the social media is driving negative narratives. We need to make a generation that is proud to be an Indian and respects our rich heritage. Freedom has not come easy and that is the fact that beeds to be recognized
