Tomorrow I'm leaving home after spending almost two months with my family, and honestly, I don't think I'll ever get used to this feeling. Every vacation starts with me counting the days until I can come home, and somehow it always ends too soon. My suitcase is packed, my room already feels quieter, and everyone at home keeps reminding me to take care of myself. It's funny how the smallest things—mom calling me for breakfast, eating home-cooked food, sitting with my family after dinner, and doing absolutely nothing—become the things I miss the most. This chapter is just me putting those feelings into words, because I know I'm not the only student who secretly wishes for just one more day at home before leaving again.

This captures a feeling that every student who has lived away from home understands. Packing a suitcase is easy, but packing away the comfort of family, familiar routines, and home-cooked meals is much harder. It’s amazing how the little things we barely notice while we’re home become the very things we miss the most. Home has a way of reminding us that love is often found in the ordinary moments. Beautifully written.
I can deeply relate to this...Man I am missing my mom even after a weekend...I coold literally feel my stomach drop as I walk towards my college in Monday
This captures the bittersweet feeling of leaving home after spending meaningful time with family. The most relatable part is how ordinary moments — shared meals, familiar voices, and simply being around loved ones — become the memories we hold onto when we leave. It beautifully shows that home is not just a place, but the comfort and warmth created by the people in it. A heartfelt reminder to appreciate those small moments while we still have them.
