worst nightmare
So just sharing a experience which I pray nobody, not even my worst enemies should experience, so this is about a night that changed like everything for me and my family. The night we never would come. I live in a hostel so I got a call from my sister informing me that my father got a little sick and mom is forcing him to go to a hospital. So he went and never came back. He went to hospital alongwith three uncles from my locality, in which one of them was my house renter so they forced him to go to the hospital and he was denying because he wasn't feeling anything serious. He just had a little pain in his chest area which used to happen due to acidity to him. But my mother forced him to go alongwith everyone so he went, knowing my mom wouldn't agree if he don't go right now. He alongwith three uncles from my locality went to the car and he was greetings everyone like he used to do smilingly and then they went to the nearest hospital. Then he said to park the car and then come to the emergency area. He went to the emergency area by himself and sat on the chair. As soon as the doctor was coming to him with BP apparatus he fell down from the chair. He fell down and never got back up. The doctors and all the medical staff started rushing towards him alongwith the uncles, they rushed him to the bed , started doing cpr , did give oxygen and everything possible to bring him back to life but God had other plans. He went to the hospital and never came back home. One renter called my mother and asked her to come to the hospital, she panicked. I was panicking in the hostel , thinking it should be due to dehydration or something only , calling my family members one by one but no one was answering. My sister at home not knowing anything that has happened. I was calling my closest cousin brother and he said something that got me just praying and something bad can't happen to my father. I was calling everyone, calling my mother, her not answering made me panick. I was asking my brother what happened, is papa okay? He has no response, he was not saying anything that was giving me panicks only but i thought he said something that made me burst into tears and all. I was shouting and crying asking him what he said, is papa okay? My friend took my phone and tried to ask him ,he just said she needs to come home tomorrow. I asked should I come right now , should I book bus for tomorrow, he said no , someone would pick you up. I was scared, crying , thinking that can't happen and my friends were consoling me saying that can't be true, be positive and sleep. They made me go to sleep and I remember I had my fingers crossed all night chanting, please god that can't happen. It can't true. The morning arrived, my brother came, was very silent and was not saying anything. I asked him how's papa, he said he's fine but is in a serious condition. I thought okay he won't lie to me or maybe that was something I wanted to hear . We left our college and started our journey. It take us time to reach , in the meanwhile time everyone was calling me , saying stay strong. I asked him where are we going, to home or to the hospital? He said home; i said I would go there wherever papa is. He called someone and asked and decided to take me to the hospital. The most difficult time where I was just praying, panicking that nothing could have happened, he is fine, everything's okay. After all, he's papa, nothing can happen to him. The words in my mind was, ' kuch nhi hua hoga, papa theek hai! Papa ko kaise kuch hoskta hai, wo toh papa h yrr; humko kuch hota toh woh dekhte hai, unko kuch ho hi nhi skta' . The exact words that were in my mind throughout the journey. The time came , I reached the hospital, saw everyone, saw my closest relatives, people from my locality, almost everyone, and then my mother. The moment I saw her , she said ' papa is no more with us' crying loudly. The moment I heard this, I had my senses hone and cried like noone. I was sitting there crying with my mother, my sister fully unaware of anything that happened, my friends worrying about me but my father gone. Everybody was consoling us, people close to us were crying with us, the moment I prayed to never come, came. Like watching my worst nightmare come true.
The moment you get to know that someone, no actually one of your parents is not in the world anymore is the moment you realise nothing else matters. The moment I heard I was praying it is all a dream , that shit can't be true but it was the reality, the reality that I am still living in. I chose a very sensitive topic, through this I only wanted to tell if you see someone grieving over their parent,be their for them , you can't even imagine what they are going through! You can't cause any less pain to them, you can't do anything but can be with them but can support them....make them feel okay! And with time the grief doesn't become anyless, this grief hits the person any time of the day!
I am so sorry you have to go through this. You were so strong to handle like that. That must be a worst experience for anyone. Stay strong
It is sad to hear about anyone story where they lose their parent. all we can see if that you are a diet is in a better place where he would not feel any pain. prayers for your family.
