Why I love the window seat

Whenever I get the chance, I always choose the window seat. It does not matter whether I am travelling by bus’s car or aeroplane. Sitting by the window has always made me feel comfortable and peaceful. There is something special about looking outside while the world quietly moves by., it gives me a feeling that is difficult to explain, but I always enjoy it. Today I start thinking about why I like the window seat so much. I realise it is not only because of the view. It is because it gives me a chance to slow down and observe things that I might otherwise miss. I enjoy watching people walking on the streets, children playing in the park, trees moving with the wind, the changing colours of the sky. Even ordinary scenes become interesting when I take the time to notice them.

The window seat also gives me little space of my own. Even when I am surrounding by many people, I feel calm because I can quietly look outside. I do not always feel the need to talk, sometime. I enjoy simply sitting with my thoughts while the journey continues. Those quiet moments help me relax and clear my mind after a busy day.

I also like how every journey looks different from the window. On some days, I see bright sunshine and blue skies. Another day there is rain running down the glass, making everything outside looks soft and beautiful. Watching raindrops slide across the window has always been one of my favourite things. It reminded me that beauty can be found even on slow and cloudy days. Another reason I love the window seat is that it gives me dream about new places when I pass through different towns or city, I wonder about the people who live there. I imagine their daily life and the story behind the houses, roads, and small shops that I see for only a few seconds.It reminds me that the world is much bigger than my own routine.

Sometimes the best part of the journey is watching the sunrise or sunset through the window. The colours change so slowly that it feels like nature painting the sky. Those moment make me stop thinking about my worries for a while, they remind me that life keep moving, just like the road outside the window.The window seat has also taught me to enjoy simple moments. I do not always need music, my phone or entertainment. Sometimes just watching the world pass by is enough. It helps me feel present and grateful for the moment I am in.

I realise that my love for the window seat is really a love for quiet observation. It gives me time to think, notice, small details, enjoy the beauty that often goes unnoticed. No matter where I am going, The journey feels a little more peaceful when I have a window seat inside me. I hope I never lose this habit because it remind me that even simple moments can become beautiful memories when I take the time to appreciate them.
