Toxicity of corporate

Indian organisation and the management are highly toxic. King Cobra would be less venemous as compared with an Indian manager. Indian managers just now how to suck life out of their employees. In my experience management knew how to destroy the peace and relationships of their employees. This is one of my toxic experiences is from my corporate life.
In my project we were required to submit the quality evaluation data to our client by the end of every month. As per our agreement with the client it was mandatory to submit the quality data by the end of month. If we wanted a waiver it should have been formerly requested to the client. There was one particular incident where a waiver should have been requested, however the coward management did not do so. This situation was so horreness that I still remember it today.
It was the time of the month end. We were working on the quality evaluation data. One of my colleagues who also happened to be a close friend could not work that day. Her father was hospitalized due to his cardiac condition. Her father was required to undergo an emergency heart surgery so that his life could be saved. Her dad was placed in the ICCU. His condition was really critical and each minute was precious.
A day prior she had started working on quality evaluation data. However she was not able to finish it. Of course the evaluation generally used to take 3-4 working days. So that work was pending with her. The next day she was not able to work on it because of her dad's hospitalization.
This is where my venomous managers stepped in. He asked about the pending quality evaluation data which was with my friend. He was a very well aware that her dad was hospitalised and she was not working that particular day. He first asked the quality manager about it. Later he turned to me and asked me about my friend's pending work. I told him that she had already started working on it and definitely she would finish it. Then he played a wicked trick. He told me to call her to ask her that by when she would be able to complete the work. I told my manager that I would not call her because her dad is undergoing a life saving surgery. I spoke to her in the morning. She was tense and I do not want to burden her. After hearing my response my managers said that the work comes first. She should have completed the work before going. I told my manager that quality evaluation is the work that cannot be completed in a day. Besides it was a medical emergency. He insisted that completion of the work is still important than anything. Everyone in that meeting room was furious. I was fuming with anger. He reptilitively said that the work should come first before anything. He again told me to call up my friend and ask her to work. I said I would willingly call my friend to ask her if her dad is doing good or if she needs any moral support. I would never ask her to finish the work. I also said to my manager that he wants her to work he should call her himself. I told him to not keep his gun on my shoulder and shoot from it. My manager called me rude and disrespectful. I was on the verge to call him heartless. But I know he was away beneath that.
I am sure this is not the only experience from corporate life that you would have heard. Corporate is full of heartless and soulless zombies who become managers and get position in top management. I wish there a word someone at the management who had little bit of humanity still left.
The corporate industry has become so worse these and these had to be stopped by then next gen
The toxic working environment of corporate industry is very over looked and ignored what it means for the employee's mental health
