It is true that when one outgrows a place or a city, it feels eerily strange. Somwplace that you both know and dont. this recently happened to me and i regretted having visited my childhood home because in my mind it was the image of warmth and the feeling that i had carried, in person it has become so much different and it is heartbreaking.
