The weird comfort of starting over

I used to think starting over meant failure. A failed plan. A missed opportunity. A version of myself that wasn’t good enough.

But lately, I’ve been realising that starting over is actually a pretty cool privilege. Not everyone gets the chance to rewrite their routine, change their mindset, leave what hurts, or become someone new.

Today wasn’t extraordinary. I drank my coffee too slowly, stared at my to-do list for too long, and overthought a few things I probably shouldn’t have.

But I also reminded myself that growth rarely looks dramatic. Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed when your mind wants to stay stuck in yesterday.

Maybe we’re all just collections of small restarts.

And maybe that’s enough.
