The perspective

There was once a village divided by a mountain. On one side people woke each morning to watch the sunrisem the way would usually burst into shades of gold and orange and pink. The mountain looked magnificent in the morning light and the villagers beleived they lived in the most beautiful side of the world and the mountain.

Across the mountain lived another village vtheu never saw the sun rises. Instead every day they watched the sun set. The way the mountain glowed croson and purple asbthe day faded away. To them the mountain was even more beautiful and they beleived that they lived in the beautiful side of the world and the mountain.

For generations both the villages argued. Travellersvcarried messages back and forth. "The sun rise side is superior". "No the sunset side is better".

Each village collected reasons. And poems were written and songs were sung. Stories were sung and stories were passed down. Children grew up beleived that they know the true side and that their side is possessed by the truth.

One year a curious girl who was young from the sun rise village decided that she was tired of hearing opinions form people who have never crossed the mountain n so she packed some food and began climbing.

The journey was difficult and the path was steeo. The rocks were sharp. More than she considered turning back. But after many hours of hardware and determination she could see both both village.

The sun rise village and the sun set village. The valleys between them and the river connecting both them along with the forests surrounding them and everyone else between the sky and the land.

She sat down quietly for hours. Then something starts to happen. The sun starts to set and she is actually witnessing for the first time from the other side.

The colors were breathtaking and the stories were not exaggerated. It was truly beautiful. The next morning she stayed on the mountain n.

As the dawn arraived she watched the sunrise illuminate her own village. That view was equally beautiful and never amazed by its ethereal beauty.

Neither side has been lying and neither side was wrong. They simply had seen different parts of the same mountain.

When she returned home the villagers eagerly gathered around her and started asking questions. "Well?" They asked. "Which side is beautiful? Which side is better?".

The girl thought for a moment and then she smiled. "Neither" she said. The crowd gasped. What do you mean they enquired.

"The sunrise is beautiful and the sun set is beautiful too"

"But which one is the best?" She shook her head. "You are asking the wrong question"she corrected.

The villagers frowned. "The mountain does not belong to one side or the other" she explained. "The mountain is larger than the either view".

Some people understood quickly and others refused and many continued to argue just like before.

But a few begin to climb themselves and to see them for themselves and each returned with same realisation.

Because the truth is often much bigger than our individual view of it. And sometimes the wisest things we can do is to climb a little higher before deciding what the world looks like.

Reading this made me feel the uncertainty and fear you were carrying. Health scares can be overwhelming, especially when we don’t know what’s happening. I hope it turned out to be something harmless and that you’re doing okay now.

this is a beautiful way of describing two point of views, you can't really have everything in life that doesn't mean you have to be discontent about it, life is what happens when u decide to live

It is all about the perspective. Not everything is black and white, sometimes it is grey. Beautifully written 👏🏻
