the passage of time

the passage of time

June 17

Met an old friend for coffee today. It had been long but somehow the time from 15 to 25 seemed more close. Felt like time had folded in on itself. On my way home, it rained softly and I chose not to open my umbrella.

Suddenly, I felt everything all at once. Was it the caffeine kicking in or the conversation, or the weather?

I don’t know but I was grateful about friendships that lasted and sad at how i would never live a certain phase with the same people again. Grateful that some friendships survive years of silence.A little sad that we’ll never be those kids again.

This captured something quietly beautiful — the strange feeling of meeting someone from your past and realizing time moved forward while a part of you stayed there. Growing up feels like carrying gratitude and grief in the same hand.

some friends just accept you in whatever way you present yourself to them? it doesn't matter to them where you are in life, they just care about you

The friends we find and make in our childhood is different and when we see them again after becoming an adult then you will realise what are the different perspective one can have with the same background
