The office plant funeral
Our office plant ☘️ finally died today. Nobody knew who had been watering it so, we held an unofficial investigation before arranging a ridiculous farewell. Karthik delivered a speech thanking the plant for its service and someone played sad music from their phone. I laughed until tearsran down my face. It was the first time in the weeka that work had felt genuinely enjoyable
We had all been exhausted competing over deadlines and pretending everything was fine. Somehow morning a plant 🌵 brought us together more efficiently than any team building 🏢 session. We bought another one this afternoon. This time, someone fas actually agreed to water it.

Sometimes, all it takes is a little unexpected moment of silliness to bring people closer. 😂 The farewell ceremony for that poor plant sounds legendary! It’s funny how something so small can break the monotony of stressful workdays and remind everyone that they’re human. Hopefully, the new plant has a longer life and a more responsible caretaker! 🌱❤️
its so sweet how something as small as a plant can bring people together. I had a plant in my room too and when it died my parents and I grieved it (me more than them) hope your new plant thrives! 🌱
