The beautiful fiction
There are certain fictional places that stays with us long after we close the book or complete watching the movie. For me, Hogwarts is one of them. Whenever I think about it I don't just imagine a castle. I imagine a world filled with wonder and mystry and endless possibilities. The towering stone walls and moving staircases and the enchanted ceiling and candle lit dinning halls create a sense of magic that almost feel real like the breath we take is actually electrified with the magic present there.
What fascinates me the most is not the spells or the magic creatures. It is the feeling of belong there. Belonging to Hogwarts. Belonging to what it represents. It is a place where ordinary people discover extra ordinary things about them. Every corridor seems to hold a story and every classroom has its own history and secret. Even the imperfections of the castles like the hidden passages or unpredictable staircases or the ancient mysteries makes it feel alive.
Sometimes I find myself wishing I could talk and walk among the shores of black lake at sunset or sit quietly in the Hogwarts library while the rain gently tap on the window side or when I can watch the quidditch match going on and shouting my lungs off for my team gryffindor. There is something comforting about imagining a place where curiosity is celebrated and learning feels like an adventure than a responsibility.
Reflecting on Hogwarts also reminds me why fictional worlds are so powerful. They give us a temporary escape form reality while helping us appreciate the beauty that exists within our own life's. Even though a fictional world like Hogwarts does not exist beyond the pages of the book It will always be a day place for me in my mind and in my heart. It encourages me to look at the existing world with more curiousness and imagination and hope and what not.
Perhaps the true magic of Hogwarts is that not is teaches people to perform skills but that it remainds us that wonder can be found anywhere if we are willing to see it. It can be found within ourselves. The castle may be fictional but the feeling and the emotions in evokes are wonderfully real for me and a lot of people like me.
When I was a kid my biggest fear was what if I was a muggle and not a magic student and what if I am wholely struck in this world without magic. And then later on I realised that everyone got their own magic and their own spark. You can see the magic you have in a child that you can make happy or the face of parents whom you can make proud of being a good friend where you can help other people with their daily life or mainly in yourself where you achieve things and take good care of your heart and soul. The magic comes from yourself and you have to power to ignite it. You don't need a Hogwarts for that.
I could feel the magic in your words. They took me to Hogwarts. You have written beautifully. Looking forwards to reading more from you
