Tea and silence
There are days when I do not need a long break or an exciting planned to feel better. Sometimes all I need is a warm cup of tea or coffee and a few minutes. It may sound like a small thing but those simple movements often become the most peaceful part of my day. In a world where every thing moves so quickly, sitting down with a cup of tea feels like giving myself permission to slowdown. Are usually make tea or coffee without thinking too much about it. It has become a familiar routine. I wait for the water to boil, add the tea leaves and what is the colour slowly change. There is something coming about the simple process Remind me that not every thing has to be happen in a hurry. Even making the tea takes a little patience and somehow that feels comforting.
130 is ready, I like to sit by the window or in a quiet corner of my house. I do not always take my phone with me. Instead, I simply hold warm cup in my hand and enjoy the silence. This is And surprising how peaceful a few minutes without notification or conversation can feel. Those moments help me clear my mind and take a break from every thing that has been running through my thoughts.
Sometime I think about my day while sipping tea. I remember the conversation I had, the work I completed or the things I still need to do. This time, I do not think about Anything at all. I just watch the world outside the window. People walk past, vehicle move along the road, birds fly from one place to another and life continues at its own pace. Remind me that it is okay to pause for a while.
Tea has also become a small source of comfort during difficult days. Whenever I feel stressed or tired, making a cup of tea, giving me a reason to stop and breath. It does not always solve my problem but it gives me approach them with a calmer mind. Sometime this is exactly what I need.
I have noticed that few quiet moments often disappear when life becomes busy. We keep moving from one task to another without giving ourselves time to rest. We think taking a break means wasting time but I have learned that even ten peaceful minutes can improve the rest of the day.
What I enjoy the Most is that this little routine does not require anything special. I do not need a holiday, an expensive cafe or a perfect day. A simple cup of tea, a comfortable chair and a little silence are enough. These ordinary movements remind me that happiness is not always found in big events. Sometime it is waiting in the smallest routine that we almost overlook.
Whenever I finish my tea, I feel a little lighter than before. The problem or still there and the work still need to be done, but my mind feels calm much. That is why I continue returning to this simple habit.
