Should we skip doctors who use AI?
Imagine walking into a doctor's clinic for something that has been bothering you for weeks. You are nervous. Maybe you have spent the previous night searching your symptoms online and convincing yourself that you have every possible disease. You sit across from the doctor hoping that they would listen.
But then instead of immediately giving you and answer and diagnosing you the doctor turns to a system. They enter your symptoms into an AI system.
For a mement you might wonder Wait...did I come all the way here just to be diagnosed by a machine?
And honestly, that is understandable. We go to doctors not only because they have studied medicine but for also someone professional to look at us and say I understand what you are going through. Let's figure this out.
There is something deeply human about healthcare. A doctor notices the hesitation in your voice, the fear in your eyes or the way you say It's probably nothing when clearly you are worried that it might be something.
Can AI understand that? Maybe it can analyse thousands of Symptoms within seconds. Maybe it can compare your scan with millions of other records and nothing something a tired human eyes could never. But can it understand why you waiting six months before coming to the hospital? Can it hole responsibility when it is wrong? Can it detect when you are hesitant to talk about your health and encourages you warmly?
There is where this debate becomes complicated. Perhaps we should not be asking whether AI should be allowed in a doctor's rool at all. After all, healthcare have seen dependent on technology. We do not complain when they use an MRI scan instead of guessing what is happening inside our bodies. So is AI really different?
Maybe yes. The problem begins when the screen becomes more important than the person sitting in front of it. Whan a doctor stops asking questions because the AI have already suggested a response. When the system said so becomes more powerful than human judgement.
At the same time what if AI helps a doctor discover something they might have missed? What is saves someone's life?
So should we skip doctors who use AI? I am not sure. Maybe one day the real question will not be wheather out doctor uses AI. May be the real question will be weather while using intelligence created by machine, the doctors still remembers the human sitting across from them. And perhaps that is the line we are still trying to find.
When a doctor relies on AI to diagnose you, should you

superb
AI can process data , recognise patterns and assist doctors but empathy , reassurance and understanding are things we still expect from a person
interesting point , i mean can Ai really replace the Doctors or there job ??
