Rock bottoms
For the past few weeks, my entire world has coke crumbling upon my fee. The reason? Lack of purpose. I recently graduated and this is the transitional period between the next chapter and the previous one. I have hit the rock bottom that seems to be getting bottom-er.
Yesterday, though, I realised that this period is not about worrying but about enjoying. I seemed to have forgotten that this “free” time or leisure is exactly what I had craved for over 5 years, the power to sit down and not worry about things. I was so worried about the norm and the race of life that I forgot that the finish line is the a goal, its death. Life is not a race, take the breaks when you need them and do not find guilt in these. God knows how much guilt “work” has.
Take it slow when needed and don’t worry about slowing down or you will regret reaching the “finish line” first.
psychologist say that this is a trauma response. some people cannot set etal and enjoy it. they feel guilty for not doing something productive with their time. I am one of them as well. but now I am trying to come to terms with it. not every moment needs to be productive or busy. some moments are for healing and reflection.
