Resourceful girl

This incident took place last year. That time I was working in a multinational company. When I used to reach office I used to go to women's restroom. I would freshen up, comb my hair, and apply minimum skin care. This was my daily routine.

One day I was in the restroom getting ready. Another girl approached me. She was bit hesitant to ask. But then she finally asked me if I have any sanitary pads with me. I definitely did have sanitary pads with me. I handed those over to her so that she can use them. She said thanks and then she went back.

After that I went to my office. While working I was approached by another colleague. This colleague said that he had headache and he wanted to check if I have any medications with me. Obviously I did have paracetamol in my bag. I asked him if he would like to have Paracetamol and he said yes.

After lunch I was working. This time I was approach by my manager. She asked me if I have anything for acid reflux. I said I do not have an antacid but I have a traditional medicine which could be effective for acid reflux. He took the medicine from me and when back to her work. A colleague sat next to me. She observed everything that was going on since morning. She said to me joking leave you are a resourceful girl.

That was definitely a compliment. I am a millennial who is in her late 30s. By qualification I am also a pharmacist. There was one particular time when I needed medication and I was not able to find it in my office. At that time we did not have the facilities of ordering medications online. I was too unwell to walk to a nearby pharmacy to get the medications. Ice paint my whole day in my office with suffering and without any medications. Even if I remember that day today I feel a lot of disomfort. That was the time when I decided that I should carry medications with me. Any person may need medications and they should not have to room around to find those. Whenever anybody ask me for medication I offered those to them. And that is something that makes me a resourceful girl. I am proud to be as resourceful girl. If a small act is going to be helpful for anybody I am willing to do that. It would not matter to me if you call me a "walking pharmacy", "elder millennial" or "resourceful girl". Because I am going to do the good deed. And remember who to visit when you fall ill 🤣
