Red ants vs me

I got up in the morning. Brushed my teeth and I was about to make my coffee. I entered the kitchen. I was placing the milk pot on the gas stove. That is when I noticed. A queue of red ants.
I hate any kind of insects. I am not particularly fond of ants. Black ants are still okay they do not sting. But red ants - they sting and they sting really bad. And now I have an army of red ants in my kitchen. They are entering from my kitchen window and spreading across my entire kitchen.
My first exting to see if there is any spill of sweet food. I checked if there was any sugar or any fruit juice that has been spilt. But nothing. I tried to find the source which is attracting these red monsters. Again nothing. First I wiped with a detergent where this queue of red ants was. Desktop for some time but I can see the army gathering again.
Next I decided to approach the expert. I opened YouTube and reddit. I was looking for some simple remedies to stop the spread of ants. I found many remedies, I saved all of them, and decided to use one by one. I instantly felt like a scientist who is testing their theory in the practice.
Water vinegar spray - failed. Then I used turmeric mixed with white cement, No success after that. Next I tried placing Eucalyptus oil at the entrance of the window. I had read that the ants do not like any smelly object. Later I saw that the Ants had gathered on the drop of Eucalyptus oil itself. What kind of advance ants I was dealing with?
Then I placed coffee grounds. I felt again. Every battle I was trying to have with ants I was losing it. As I was in the kitchen I did not want to use the pesticide spray. But it look like I had no other option. Before spring my entire kitchen with a chemical pesticide I thought I should speak with an exterminator.
I called up the man who was incharge of pest control in my society. I told him my problem. He said ants arrive in the summer season. Nothing can stop them. The pest control would still not be useful for the ants. He told me to have some humanity. Humanity towards ants? My head was spinning.
I returned to my kitchen. The queue of the ants what still there. While I was standing a few ants stopped and moved towards me. I felt as if they were mocking me. The Ants had won the battle against me. I was defeated by them. It felt embarrassing to lose a battle against such a tiny creature. But that is how it was. Nothing could have been done against these tiny monsters.
I accepted my defeat. As a piece offering I put a cube of sugar near the queue of the ants. The Ants quickly gathered and started moving the cube or maybe even eating it. I smiled. They did not know that I had spread the pesticide over the sugar cube. So the battle was a one by me and not by the ants. I am victorious.
Who won the epic battle: you or the ants?
Your vote is final.
it's lowkey attack on titan typa moment ...it made me laugh, inthink you have inspired me to write something similar about mosquitoes tho...it's a loosing battle I feel like
I genuinely laughed while reading this. The way you described the battle against the ants made it feel like an epic war between two determined opponents. The ending completely caught me off guard and made the whole story even more memorable.
