Reality check.

When I was in studying film making at my university,I met a good classmate of mine ,let’s call him E5,

So E5 was a very talented photographer and he had a lot of intrest in wildlife photography.

Once in college he brought his camera and showed everyone ,all of us were shocked to see he had a camera which was very expensive and a huge telephoto lens which costed more than our entire university fees for 3 years .

After few days I spoke with him and he seemed like a chill dude .Next semester we were volunteering for a college festival along with our group .Once we started talking and having fun then one of my classmates pointed towards E5 and told us that “this guy is so rich that his father cracked a 9million dollar business deal last week “ .The whole room went quite .i thought it was a joke but then i realised that it was the truth .watching E5 for all these years ,he seemed so humble. After this E5 didn’t even flinched ,he then also said that that’s true ,his father works in Plastic factory and owns multiple businesses.This is the period I realised that real wealth dosent flex .

Another example is between South Delhi and South Mumbai .Both is this cities has enormous amount of wealth between them ,but I have always wondered that why do people in south Delhi show off thier power and wealth in a flashy way and why is South Mumbai is a quite luxury who dosent need to flex or show off .

In Delhi many politicians,businessmen’s reside in the southern part but South Mumbai is home to hindered a of billionaires,including Asias richest man Mukesh Ambani .Many famous ceos ,and business families reside there and they know that they have money and power .they are probably 3-7x richer than those in South Delhi and they are aware of that fact .So if you see someone just flaunting their money ,wearing gaudy clothes and shiny attire’s ,just know they do have access to money ,but there are bigger fishes in the ocean.E5 (my classmate ) belonged from Bihar ,a state in northern India ,and lived in a rich neighbourhood in Mumbai on rent ,But never in our conversation he did made anyone feel like they were below him and he was superior in any way ,that’s another act of class and being gentlemen ,Even he is aware of the fact that his is Rich and probably one of the richest people in our college ,but Real wealth doesn’t need to flex.So the next time you are thinking about flexing your money or thinking about showing off whatever money or assets you have and beleving that it attracts another wealthy person,you are just attracting people below your class ,you may have money more than majority of the people around you ,but the truth is always different and there are many people who don’t need to prove to anyone

That’s what we call South Mumbai and quiet luxury .
