Planning: A Way of Life
Planning is, indeed, a fundamental part of my life. To me, planning is not merely about the organisation of different processes or making lists of things to do. I like putting things together in a way that will help me realise my potential. Over the years, planning became my way of life rather than merely a habit.
Recently, I have discovered vision boards as one of the ways of planning. Every time I set new goals, I try to gather pictures, quotations, and ideas that embody my wished-for future, be it in terms of my career, travels, health, or personal affairs. When a task seems miles away and I am low on motivation, I can look at my board and remind myself of my goals. It gives me a sense of direction and reminds me why I started in the first place. Even when progress feels slow, seeing my goals in front of me encourages me to stay patient and continue working towards them.
Keeping a journal every day is a habit that I have developed. Before going to bed, I like to spend a couple of minutes writing about my day, my feelings, and what stood out to me. At times, I find myself recording the things that I have accomplished. However, often I like to use this time as a way to think about difficult situations and things that I have learned. I think it is absolutely essential that I do this because I get the chance to reflect and think. It also helps me understand my emotions better and notice patterns in my behaviour that I may have otherwise ignored.
One of the best things I keep is my encyclopedia journal. Unlike a normal journal, this one is not divided into the days of the month but into sections. There are sections for my long-term and short-term goals, things I want to do, principles I believe in, important life lessons, and random ideas. Whenever I realize anything new about myself, I write it down in this journal. Looking back at older entries reminds me of how much I have changed over the years, and it makes me appreciate the small improvements that often go unnoticed. Sometimes I even discover ideas that I had forgotten, which inspires me to continue developing them.
Moreover, planning is also important for learning to cope with uncertainties in life. It happens that things do not work out as planned, and I have come to grips with this fact. Instead of attempting to control all possible outcomes, I see my task as preparation, which requires focusing on things I can control. Dividing big tasks into smaller bits makes them less intimidating; and marking the accomplished steps is a way to realize how successful I am. These habits have helped me become more confident and organised over time, even if everything do not always go according to plan. They remind me that progress is built through consistency, not perfection, and it help me stay calm when challenges arise.
In summary, I view the entire process of planning through the prism of reflection, development, and reasons behind it rather than perfection. It helps me keep in touch not only with my goals, but at the same time, allows me to realize how far I have come in my life. Planning have become more than just a routine for me; it is a way of understanding myself, staying motivated, and continuously striving to become a better version of who I am.
This is a brilliant idea
I really agree with your point being clumsy and doing whatever feels right at the moment sometimes results are really bad for this things. planning helps a lot and understand what problems we can face if the things are not done properly it also helps to find solution even before the problem arise even if someone isn’t able to plan anything at the moment it’s better too keep the risky tasks for later because it can result in various circumstances if not done properly!
agreed life should have plans, a schedule and priority for things that matter , no space for thinhs that stop you from growing there should be an empathy towards people and a smile on your face when you look at someone.
