MY ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE SO FAR!!

When I started my engineering journey, I had no clear idea of what to expect. Like many students, I was excited about beginning college but also nervous about whether I would be able to handle the challenges ahead. Engineering seemed difficult, and I often wondered if I was capable of keeping up with the coursework. Looking back now, I can confidently say that this journey has helped me grow not only as a student but also as a person. It has taught me how to think logically, solve problems with patience, and stay determined even when things don’t go as planned.

The first few semesters were mainly focused on basic subjects, and at times I found it difficult to understand how they connected to real engineering. There were moments when I questioned the purpose of learning certain topics because I couldn’t see their practical applications. However, as I moved into core computer engineering subjects, everything slowly started making sense. The best part of learning was when I began working on practical projects instead of only studying theory. Building something from scratch gave me a completely different level of understanding and made learning much more enjoyable.

One project that had a big impact on me was developing a web-based CPU Scheduler Simulator. The project involved creating a platform that could demonstrate different CPU scheduling algorithms in an interactive way. While working on it, I learned much more than programming. I had to understand the algorithms deeply, organize the backend logic properly, and design a simple interface that users could easily understand. There were many challenges during development, but solving each one helped me become more confident in my technical abilities.

Another memorable experience was exploring augmented and virtual reality using Unity. Designing a virtual roller coaster environment was something completely new for me. From creating immersive scenes to fixing C# scripting issues, every step required patience and continuous learning. This experience showed me that engineering is not only about writing code or solving mathematical problems. Creativity also plays a major role in developing engaging and meaningful applications.

Apart from technical knowledge, engineering has also taught me the importance of teamwork. Many of my presentations, assignments, and projects were completed in groups, where every member contributed different ideas and perspectives. Working with others helped me improve my communication skills, learn how to divide responsibilities, and understand the value of collaboration. Of course, there were stressful moments before deadlines, long hours spent debugging together, and discussions that seemed never-ending. But those experiences made every successful project even more rewarding.

As I continue my engineering journey, my focus is now shifting toward gaining industry experience. My next goal is to complete an internship where I can apply the skills I have learned in college to real-world projects. I want to strengthen my knowledge of full-stack web development, improve my problem-solving skills, and understand how professional software development teams work. I believe practical experience will help me become a better engineer and prepare me for future career opportunities.

Overall, my engineering journey has been full of learning, challenges, and personal growth. Every assignment, project, and obstacle has taught me something valuable. There have been moments of frustration when nothing seemed to work, but there have also been moments of satisfaction when a project finally came together after days of effort. These experiences have made me more patient, more confident, and more eager to keep learning. I know there is still a long way to go, but I am excited to continue improving myself and making the most of every opportunity that comes my way.
