Morning affirmation

I thank the universe, because this morning I was able to open my eyes and witness the day. I know I am fortunate. There will be some people who had died in their sleep. Thankfully I am not one of them.

I thank the universe, because I was able to walk, speak, and do my chores. There are many crippled, vegetative, and disabled people. I am blessed because I can move.

I thank the universe for having a roof above my head; a safe place which I can call home.

I am thankful for having received food on my plate. I pray that no person in this world should have to face hunger.

I consider each day to be a blessing. If I woke up today, it is a blessing. My body works for me, it is a blessing. I have food and shelter, it is a blessing. I am forever thankful to the universe for that. I request the universe to continue showering the blessings over me.
