Maybe I’m Not Overthinking

Sometimes it’s not one big thing that changes how you feel about someone. It’s the little things.

The replies that suddenly take longer.

The conversations that feel different.

The “I’m busy” that starts happening a little too often.

And you keep telling yourself, “I’m probably overthinking.”

Maybe you are.

Or maybe you’re simply noticing a change that nobody wants to talk about.

The strange part is that nothing officially ends. There’s no argument, no goodbye, no dramatic moment. You just slowly stop feeling as close as you once did.

And you don’t know whether to ask, accept it, or pretend you haven’t noticed.

Maybe growing apart doesn’t always look like losing someone.

Sometimes, it looks like still having them in your life but wondering when everything became different.

Anonymous question: Have you ever felt someone becoming distant but stayed quiet because you were scared of being “too much”?

overthinking does nothing to your problems rather than giving you tensions

Writer replied

Exactly. Overthinking doesn’t fix anything, it just makes your mind more tired.

Maybe I’m not overthinking… maybe I’m just noticing the things I used to ignore. Some distances are felt long before they’re spoken about.

Writer replied

Maybe you’re not overthinking, maybe you’re finally noticing what your mind was trying to tell you before.
