little pieces of childhood

I still love stickers , I don’t think I have ever really grown out of them and to be honest I don’t think I want to grow . I’m always like if you want to give me something give me something cute it’s not costly and it’s cute whenever my parents ask me what do I want as a gift I’m like give me a sheet full of colourful little animals, cute characters , tiny hearts, flowers , starts , or anything that is in it’s miniature form and cute. And again I will immediately become that excited little kid again.
I remember sitting there with this sticker sheet in my hands, completely focused on all the tiny characters printed across it.
I could spend forever deciding which one I wanted to use first . The little lion caught my attention because it’s so like dangerous animal and the personality of him in this sticker set is so cute . He looks adorable, the the elephant it’s like the nature of elephant is fully expressed. Then the another colourful chararacter, and suddenly I wanted to keep all of them. I would hold the sheet carefully from the corners because like it gets bend easily so it is visible. I constant keep running my fingers around the stickers without actually peeling them because it was hard decision for me which one to choose and where to put them was a serious decision.
I always hated using my favorite stickers because once they were stuck somewhere , that was it like they were no longer used on other places .
Sometimes I had buy a beautiful sticker sheet and keep ig untouched for days and even weeks because I was waituing for that perfect place to use them, I probably wouldn’t even have an answer.
I just liked having them. I liked opening my notebook and seeing tiny sticker back at me . I liked decorating random things that probably didn’t even need any decorating at all. Like many times I have decorated plan covered books or pens I’m like is it empty let’s put sticker on it and suddenly everything is cute stuff . My favorite thing is decorating a phone case . Even something as boring as some plastic water bottle could suddenly feel special if I found the right sticker for it. There is something about stickers that makes me ridiculously happy .
Maybe it’s because they remind me of a version of myself that never needed much to be excited . As a child, happiness could literally be a new pencil, a colourful eraser , a cartoon notebook or even a sheet of stickers . And even now when I’m supposed to be a grown up with grown up responsibilities and grown up worries a part of me still gets that same spark when I see something cute. I can walk into a stationery shop intending to buy one thing and somehow leave with some cute stuff like stickers I absolutely did not even need.
I’m always like they all are cute I want every single one even if it’s of no use to me just to make them feel special getting decorated on some stuff and even make me feel special.
