Insecurity masked as love
it took me a really long time to understand that some people are really self centered and are just amazing at hiding it from
others
i had a colleague who eventually became a friend. i was being myself around her. yet she will never let go of a chance to get drunk and push me to drink despite me being vocal
i am not interested.
next is her obsesssion over my dating life despite she having a boyfriend and later marrying him.
the extent she would go to only talk about it often when i am not even expressing interest in talking about it, now feels funny
i never rub what i have and i dont have in anyone’s face. i
do not care for such things. but she often irrelevant to the discussion brings her attachment to her dad, her student loans and so on into thr topic.
most importantly when on surface she wants to come across as she does not do body shaming but on a random lunch day when rest
of us were simply eating and being ourselves she came and started yelling do not talk as if you are
size
zero. but body size was not even the topic. now i finally rubbed it her face that my family and friends pamper me and i deleted her number.
now yes, she is still “happily married”
and i am not married. but that is ok, my day will come. i never did and still do not have to pull
someone down like her to feel good about myself
very good
Some people want us to help carry their emotional baggage despite our hesitation. They want to flaunt about themselves to makes other feel small yet in their mind they're never satisfied for all the things they have.
