Inhale, exhale, don't fall over

"I went looking for inner peace but mostly just found out that my hamstrings are completely tight."

My accidental journey into yoga

I always thought yoga was just sitting cross-legged and breathing deeply while listening to peaceful music. Boy, was I wrong. Last week, I joined my first local session, and within ten minutes, the instructor had us twisted up like human pretzels. While everyone else seemed to flow seamlessly like water, I was just trying to remember how to breathe without falling over. But by the end of the class, lying there during the final relaxation pose, something clicked. My body was sore, but my mind was completely silent for the first time in weeks. I think I'm officially hooked.
