I love myself
I love. Myself. Saying that still feels strongly uncomfortable because we are often taught that loving ourselves too openly sounds arrogant. We are expected to be humble, aware of our flaws, band constantly trying to improve. But somewhere along the way, I realised that acknowledgeing my flaws and loving myself so not have to be opposites. I know myself better than anyone else possibly can . I know the mistakes. I have made the things I regret, the fears I hide, and the thoughts I would never explain completely to another person. I have seen myself at my best and, unfortunately at my worst. Yet after knowing all of that , I still choose myself.
I don't love myself because I think I am perfect. I know I am not. There are days when I overthing compare myself to people who seem to have their lives figured out, and wounder whether I am doing enough. There are things about myself that I am still trying to change. I have said things I wish I could take back and made decisions that looking back, were probably not my smartest moments. But I notice longer believe that I need to hate myself in order to become better. I can recognize a flaw without turning it into proof that I am fundamentally un worthy.
That realization changed the way I speak to myself . If I wouldn't constantly insult someone I loved for making mistakes, why was I so comfortable doing it to myself?. If someone I cared about failed. I would probably tell them that one failure didnot define their entire life. Yet I often gave myself no such patience. I expected myself to understand everything immediately succeed quickly, recover without difficulty and somehow remain confident throughout all of it.
Loving myself does not mean that every day feels good. Some days I am still my own worst criteria.bsome days I want to escape myself for a while. But self love, at least for me, is returning even after that .it is choosing not to abandon myself when I am difficult to deal with
It is forgiving myself without pretending I did nothing wrong and allowing myself to grow without constantly being ashamed of who I used to be.
I still want to become better. I still have ambitions, insecurities and things I want to change . But I don't want to spend my entire life waiting to become some imaginary future version of myself before deciding that I deserve my own love.
And after everything I know about myself I think that is enough reason to say or without embarrassment love.
When you've made mistakes and know yourself deeply, you
Your vote is final.
Loving yourself doesn't make you selfish; it makes you a better version of yourself.

expression of self love at its best! I resonate and back the idea that growth and self respect can exist together.
