i forgive him…

Anonymous4 days agoLetting Go189 words

I think I finally understand what letting go actually means.

It isn't when you stop loving someone.

It's when you stop waiting for them.

I spent so long thinking maybe one day I'd go back, maybe we'd find our way to each other again, maybe there was still something left to save...

But today, something feels different.I don't want to go back anymore...

And strangely, that doesn't hurt the way I thought it would...

I can still remember everything.

I can still care.

I can still wish them well...But I don't want them back in my life.

Maybe this is what letting go really is..loving someone, forgiving what happened, and accepting that you can miss what you had without wanting it back. .I don't know when I stopped hoping for another chance.

I just know that I did...

And maybe that's the part I needed to realize most.I can love what we were and still leave it where it belongs—in the past.

This time, I'm not walking away hoping I'll find my way back.I'm walking away because, somewhere along the way, I finally found my way back to myself.

First step is acceptance and I see that you have already accepted your reality. It will be difficult and painful at the beginning but later on you will realise that you have made the right decision. Give yourself time to heal. You have got this 👍🏻

Thank u for saying this so gently. i didn't think people out there would bothered to be concerned ,but u guys did made my day .indeed these moments of healing require time nd just enough of own self to hold onto and i'g I'm doing so, little by little.
