I feel fantastic

I feel fantastic

A couple of days ago I was going through and articles that I had found on Facebook. Title said 'Don't search these things on the internet'. Reading the title, curiosity took over me and I clicked on the article to read it further.

I went through the list that was published and was excited to find if there were any topics related haunted places. Most of the things that had been mentioned on the list were the ones that I had already searched for and did not find scary or unsetling. There was one particular item mentioned in that list that made me curious. It was a song called 'I feel fantastic'. The article described the song to be scary mentioning that a robot sings this song. After reading the description I did not find that scary at all. "Why would a singing a robot would look or sound scary" I thought to myself. I considered it to be my cue to go down the rabbit hole and find out more about this video.

Before going to the YouTube I tried together more information about this video. Everywhere the writers where saying that the background is scary, the cuts are scary, the robot singing is unsettling; however none of them had provided what exactly they had found to be creepy. I was still wondering why the background would make it unnerving. After reading a number of articles I decided to see the video for myself and assess it if it was scary.

I typed the song Title on YouTube and immediately I found the infamous video. I clicked on it and braced myself to get spooked. I watched the entire video which was of 2 minutes and 30 seconds. I saw that the video featured a robot dressed up like a regular women - having the skin tone and hair like a regular woman (somewhat she looked like Taylor Swift). The robot starts singing and surprisingly the voice is not robotic but it sounds almost like a human being. Yes it did have strange cuts and sudden zooming into the pile of dirt. I tried to notice if I can see any science of presence of human in this video. Multiple times I zoomed in or rewound the video to see if I see a human reflection or human hand somewhere in the video. I found none. I believe the video was carefully shot to conceal the Identity of the creators. I watched that video multiple times but I did not find anything scary, creepy, or unsetting. I was unbothered by what I saw.

I felt the video to be strange and unusual. But nothing in that video was enough to frighten me, the way all the articles had mentioned. I considered my reaction to the video as a triumph over the internet. I felt that I added another feather to my cap where I could say that internet is not truthful. I felt braver than most people on the internet.

I also felt that in today's world where we are leaning more towards artificial intelligence - a lot of music is been created by artificial intelligence. This video send like a precursor to it. The video and music definitely wasn't perfect but I did not find it scary or unsetting at all. I saw a good potential in it if it would have taken for the for development.

Overall my take was that though I did not feel fantastic after watching the video for me it was tolerable.
