Holding the hands that guided my dreams.

when i think about my first day of school it seems to be life as a full circle. I have still vivid picture of that nervous energy of that morning- the ironed neat uniform, the heavy school bag, and the overwhelming fear of stepping in to a new atmosphere. But along with with all these fear there was a constant source of confidence and my comfort; my father .his hand wrapped firmly around mine. walking to school holding his hand gave me an immense sense of peace and pleasure. it made me feel like no matter how big or scary the world outside was, i was safe in his hands who was leading my way .today, as i stand on the verge of stepping in to my dream job, i find myself craving that exact same feeling. i am dreaming of the day i get to hold his hand again as i walk in to my new office, closing a beautiful loop that started decades ago.

Getting to this point, however, was not an easy journey. It required an immense amount of hard work, tears ,and silent sacrifices. when i finished my graduation, i decided to step in to the highly competitive world of government exams. To be completely honest, i did'nt choose this path just for myself ;i stepped in to this intense arena for our family. I wanted to give them financial stability and pride they deserved, especially my father ,who hard worked tirelessly his entire life to support my education.

But Competitive exams are a brutal testing ground. in the beginning ,failure seemed to be the only ultimate result i achieved .Every time the results came out ,it felt like the universe was just handing the card that read 'better luck next time'. It is incredibly draining to pour your heart and soul in to books for months ,only to see your roll number missing from the final selection list.

Slowly, I learned to find joy in small, incremental winnings. After months of setbacks, I finally cleared a preliminary exam. The happiness was small but real, and it gave me the fuel to keep pushing forward. However, a new cycle of frustration soon began .I got stuck in a repetitive loop where I could easily clarify the preliminary stages of multiple exams ,but I kept crashing out at the mains. Getting so close to the finish line only to fail at the very end depressed me a lot. It makes you question your worth, your intelligence, and whether you are just wasting your family's time and hopes.

But giving up was never an option because I knew whose hand I was trying to make proud. I kept studying through the depression, through the doubts, and through the long, exhausting nights.

And then, the breakthrough happened. One day, the final mains results were announced, and my name was right there on the screen. The sense of victory was absolutely immense. The sheer weight that lifted off my chest in that single second is something I cannot even put into words. It wasn't just a victory for me; it was a victory for my father, too. Like every beautiful father daughter relationship , my greatest happiness has always been tied to his. Seeing the relief and pure joy in his eyes made every single year of painful failure completely worth it.

Now, all the exams are cleared, and I am simply waiting for the final selection letters. As I sit here waiting, I keep closing my eyes and dreaming of that first-approaching day. I am going to hold his hand tightly as I take my very first step into my dream job—looking exactly like that little girl on her first day of school, but this time, walking into a future we built together.......
