When I was in 4th grade ,in sports period they made us play the following sports one by one to see what fits us (none of them fit me though)

They were basketball,throwball,handball,and football .

So one day it was my time my basketball and our coach made a stand in 4 lines one by one and made us dribble ,and at the end of every practice he’d tell everyone that clap for these four boys

(The boys who were playing with ball/dribbling for them )And we all used to clap ,so now it’s my turn to ball and I start playing and at the end of the play ,he says “calp for these three boys “while pointing his finger across his the students besides me in 3 lines . While I stood there understanding nothing and didn’t knew what happened, even I clapped ,then coach told me that my legs were straight and not cross that’s why. Was I sad? Ofc I was I wasn’t even 10 yrs old at that time .Felt bad that I was the only kid from 50 probably kids that didn’t received any applause or clapped for his performance .Nothing much then continued school for more 6 years until Covid came and I was actually happy that I don’t have to visit school or play forced sports anymore ,Then came my final year of bachelors ,I was absent most of the time for personal reasons and mental health so one day while sitting in our class our professor called me and made me stand beside him and told the whole class clap for yourselves.then in the sudden moment I remembered my old grade in a second like how I have already lived this moment before, it’s was like déjà vu but I already knew it happened and lived that moment .Well nothing to think about it now as those times have passed already but these are the moments that will probably stay your whole life or atleast for a time until you can do something that you are proud in your life and it automatically gets ejected from your mind .i was never good at school or studying and was not cut out for sports aswell even though I loved boxing as a kid I joined martial arts and continued it for 3 years then I lost interest in it and continued it for another 1 year two years later .At my university I joined boxing for 3 semesters and was actually good at it ,coach told me to make the new kids train and I really felt good about it that even though I might not be ready for tournament level ,I can still teach new kids who are starting now .

But the again I left boxing in mid of second grade because I was simply bored .Then my grandmother (nani)passed away in the same year and I was out mostly mentally and physically both .

So now when I think about all those moments ,I say this to myself

Have I changed or am i still the same .

feels deeply personal and genuine the basketball callback stays memorable smooth the transitions trim repetition and the ending feels quietly relatable and emotionally honest throughout
