Hairline

It was a sunny morning. I was combing my hair. My hair naturally auburn coloured, soft, silky, and short. Comb passes through my hair I see a few hairstrands coming out. I gather them and I keep them aside. After combing my hair I finally gather a big lock of hair. So that's the damage for the day.

Right from my childhood I always had very soft and silky hair. The quality of my hair was amazing. Anybody who would touch my hair would compare them with the highest quality silk. Just like the Silk they were a soft and shiny. But I always had problem with volume. I did not have thick hair. I used to look at my thin ponytail and then I used to think I wish I had better hair.

I used to save out a lot of pins on Pinterest about hairstyles that I could make. I used to look at those hairstyleing tutorials thinking that one day I will have thick long hair on which I can do that fancy hairstyle. But that day hasn't arrived as yet.

I used to follow a lot of beauty influencers who used to test out hair products. I used to look at their a thick shiny hair. Their beautiful bunch of hair. I used to envy those women with long hair. Those women used to look so elegant with their thick and long hair. They used to test hair products on their hair as if those products would never damage their hair. Without worrying about any sort of damage they used to generously apply the products on their lush hair and I used to get worried that what if those hair get damaged.

Even in the office when I used to see any girl or woman with long hair I used to feel that they have something that I want. I used to go and tell them that they have beautiful hair and they should take atmost care of their hair. Sometimes they used to take the compliments positively and sometimes they used to say oh this is just genetic. When someone used to say that their hair are genetic I used to think that why my mother does not have such kind of finest hair.

Anyway enough about the genetics. From my side I had tried everything to improve the volume of my hair as well as the length of my hair. I had tried various hair oils. Some of them used to stink so bad that I used to think that this is something that has to work because I am sacrificing my olfactory sense for them. Some of the hair products were so cold that they had given me horrible headache. I tried hair masks, hair oils, hair serums, everything. Lastly I also tried some of the hair supplements in my diet. Nothing serms to work for me. I had given my best yet the dream of having long and thick hair remained as a dream.

Now in my late 30 I have accepted myself. I have accepted the condition of my hair. I know as I am going to grow old I will face hair thinning even worse than it is right now. As I will cross 40 my hair thinning and the hair fall would increase even more. There is no way by which I can make my hair any better because my body is working against it. I have accepted the truth. I have also accepted that it is okay for me to have thin hair. It is okay for me to have short hair. Besides I think that I look the best then I have my hair cut short. So this is me in my late 30 confident as ever with my thinning hairline.

I know how this feels. I also love having long hair. I wish I also maintained my good hair. Thank you for sharing. This is like seeing myself in a reflection.
