Good day and bad day

Not all days are the same. Some days are good. Some days are bad. Like today was a bad day for me. I work with a training platform. I could not conduct a single training session today. Since I did not conduct any session, I earned nothing. No money, no happiness - that has been my equation. But then I thought, can I make my day better? The answer was not easy.
When my day is good, I am thrilled. I see that the sun is shining bright. Flowers are blooming. Nature is colourful and delightful. Weather is pleasant. Everything goes well. Everything goes as per the plan. There are no delays. There are no cancellations. Everything fits into the frame. Everything is within our control. The day is filled with positivity and happiness. I look forward to have another positive day. I am hopeful about tomorrow.
When I have a bad day, I feel like I am a failure. On a bad day the sky is cloudy, grey, and gloomy. Flowers are dead just like my dreams and hopes. Nature is dreadful and awful. Weather feels unpleasant and looks like sepia filter has been applied. Every effort goes down the drain. Nothing goes as per the plan. Every move is a disaster. Everything is out of our control. The day is filled with negativity and unhappiness. I doubt my capabilities. I wonder if I ever will be successful. I wonder if I ever was successful. Am I just another ant walking in the line, following the supreme leader, and having no identity of my own?
Is it really the day or my perception of the day? Sometimes it takes only one thing to go wrong and the whole day turns into a sad circus. If the day begins with a mistake the whole day is lost. If the day begins with a negative emotion, the negativity follows us like a shadow throughout the day. A calm and happy morning may lead to a happy day. But of course there will be people who will try their level best to ruin your day. Most of the time they surely will succeed.
Can I control my day? Yes and no. I may control our emotions. If I put my mind to it I may supress our negative thoughts and negative emotions. I may keep them at the bay so that I do not ruin my day. But what about the external factors? Can I control them too? Can I control how my boss will react? Can I control my stressful commute? Can I control tge crowd in the cafeteria? Absolutely not. External factors are beyond our control. However I may still control how these external factors can affect me. If I pay a lot of attention to the external factors they would surely affect the outcome. If I ignore the external factors then they would not affect me that much.
If we believe "everything is temporary" and "this too shall pass" then only we will be in control of how our day is spent. Each day will bring new hope so live for that hope. Regardless of how difficult yesterday was, the rising sun serves as a reminder that we are still here and that our purpose remains unfinished. By embracing each morning as an inevitable gift, we open ourselves to infinite possibilities and the hope that the best is yet to come.
I believe every sunset is for reset. Believe in your capabilities and you are halfway there.
I agree that a good day and bad day depend on your perspective and how you manage that with your mindset....We cannot determine the whole day based on first few things
This is beautifully written and relatable to us when we are lost in the spiral of thoughts.
