Giveaway of toys

I was introduced to the term "Giveaway" because of the social media influencers in 2010s. But I was introduced this act very early in my childhood. Because my parents used to give away my toys or things to other children.
Sometimes someone would visit us. They would have their child with them. My parents would ask me to play with their child. They would specifically say, show him/her your new toy. I would follow their order and I would show the peer my new toy. Some children were good who would play with it and return it. Some snobbish children would play with it and refuse to return. I would ask nicely to return because I was not supposed to order them to return. Then the spoilt brats would start crying. They would demand that they want the toy. They want to take it home. The brat's patents would say nothing. Worse they would add fuel to the fire saying, "she/he is stubborn. She/he always gets what she/he wants. If not given, she/he will cry all day".
Then my parents would say, "do you like it? Take it home. She dies not even play with that toy." No, that was my new toy. I very much love it. I do play with it every day all day. Why it has to be my toy to be given away?
The kid would happily wipe away the crocodile tears and take my toy with them. I would be left with tears because I have just lost my favorite toy. It is not coming back to me.
A few days later, I would go and ask my parents to get me a new toy. They would say we got it few days ago and would refuses to buy a new one for me. But why did my parents not understand that the new toy is not with me any longer. They had given away my toy to a brat. Why they would ignore this.
At one point I felt that my toys are no longer mine. They are to facilitate any children who visit my house. They are for them to play, break, or take away with them.
By the time I was 6 I had lost the emotional attachment to toys. I would barely ask my parents to get me toys. I would barely play happily with my toys. I had learnt the lesson of sacrifice at a young age. Still noone would ever say that I was generous.
This is how the giveway would take place in my childhood. It still hurts me today. I still remember my favorite toys that were handed over to other children. I still remember how painful it was to see the children leave with my favorite toys. Their happiness was built on my pain and tears.
That time I was young. But I had decided something at that age. I promised that when I grow up and have children, I would never give away their toys. I would rather leave the brat in tears. But no child is getting happy at the expense of the happiness of my child.
