Getting lost on a familiar route
Today, I took a wrong turn on a route I thought I knew perfectly. Instead of immediately checking my phone. I walked for a few minutes and noticed streets I had never really looked at before.i felt slightly uncomfortable butvalso curious. Getting lost showed me something familiar from a different direction.
It made me think about how often I fear uncertainty simply because I cannot predict it. The wrong turn did not ruin my day.vitvgavevmeva new view. Maybe life works similarly. Not every unexpected direction is a mistake. Sometimes, being unsure is how we discover places we never planned to see.

Such a simple but meaningful reflection. 🌿 I like how the wrong turn becomes a metaphor for uncertainty without making it overly dramatic. The final thought—“being unsure is how we discover places we never planned to see”—makes a lovely closing line.
I liked how such an ordinary thing as taking a wrong turn became something worth thinking about. We usually get frustrated when things don’t go according to plan, but sometimes a small detour lets us notice things we would have otherwise ignored. The connection to uncertainty also feels relatable—sometimes not knowing exactly where we’re going is uncomfortable, but it doesn’t always mean we’re heading somewhere wrong.
