Folded Neatly, Falling Apart Quietly.

AnonymousJul 18, 2026129 words

I accidentally found another thought hiding in something extraordinary today.

While i was rearranging my wardrobe again, I noticed something strangely human about it.

Everything looked perfectly folded from the outside. Clean. Proper. Organized enough for nobody to question it.

But underneath the first few layers, everything was messy. Clothes half hidden. Sleeves tangled into each other. Pieces shoved away hoping nobody would look deep enough to notice.

And somehow, I realised that's exactly how most people are.

We learn how to smile before we learn how to heal.

We straighten our voices, fix our hair, reply with "I'm okay!" while entire storms sit quietly underneath us waiting to be acknowledged.

Just like wardrobes,

I suppose.... humans have mastered the art of appearing neatly folded while falling apart inside.

Quite moving. Your ending leaves readers thinking about how easily we judge others without knowing what lies beneath the surface of their carefully composed lives.

This is a beautiful analogy and I agree that humans spectrum is way too complicated to be understood...only we have the key to our heart and mind

That is such a nice analogy. that is how humans are - impeccable on the outside and messed up on the inside.
