confined…?

AnonymousJul 10, 202693 words

Sunlight spills through the cracks, but my skin stays cold, rain taps the lid, but my tongue stays dry, spring flower blooms, but no scent reaches my nose.

The ghosts of mine, proud and tall murmurs day and night: “you left the door open once, you let the wind in, you let the lights out. Not my flaw, not my flaw”

The flowers never blooms, the rain never comes, the sun never spills, and i?

And i keep lying,

Day after day,

Just to feel less confined,

But the box?

Always stays shut.

I don’t fully understand it, but I can feel it

wow! This is such a fine piece. It felt it to be in the same class of Edgar Allen Poe.
