Addiction

Maturity is when you realise that social media addiction is more better than the addition of people !!
You can close an app, delete it, or stay away from your phone for a while. But you can't simply switch off the memories, conversations, and emotions connected to someone who became a part of your daily life.
The most dangerous attachments often don't begin as addictions. They begin with trust, comfort, and the feeling that someone will always be there.Slowly, talking to that person becomes part of your routine. Their messages become the highlight of your day, and without even noticing, your happiness starts depending on their presence.
I know this because I have experienced it myself.
I became deeply attached to someone. I never imagined they would leave, but one day they did. It wasn't just their absence that hurt—it was losing the habit of sharing every little moment with them. That silence felt louder than all the conversations we once had.
That experience taught me an important lesson: never make one person the center of your entire emotional world.Love people, trust them, and cherish them, but don't lose yourself in the process. Keep your own dreams, hobbies, friendships, and identity alive.
Social media addiction can be controlled with discipline. Emotional dependence is much harder to overcome because it lives in your heart, not in your phone.
Real maturity is learning to enjoy someone's presence without making your peace depend on it.
Because sometimes the hardest habit to break isn't scrolling through a screen—it's waiting for a message that may never come.
For so long I felt that depending on someone was a weakness. Sharing my sadness with someone spoiled their days too. I was putting my life’s weight on someone else. but then I realised that people who actually care about you really wants you to share. they want to be part of your life in every way. Because thats what I also want people to do with me. to share, to rely on me.
“This really made me think. We talk so much about being addicted to our phones, but sometimes we become even more attached to certain people, and that’s much harder to recognize or walk away from.
Yeah...onve you are emotionally dependent on anyone then it is very hard to fall out of it....it is as hard as any drug rehabilitation
