“ A TEENAGER”

AnonymousJul 4, 2026408 words

Waking up in the morning, falling the same thing every day, fed up by everything. The same thoughts keep running in my mind. Will I be able to survive this routine? why can’t I get some time for myself? Why can’t I do something I love ?when will I get time for me?

Yet I’m stuck between school and tuitions, not even getting single hour for me

Getting judged throughout the day-for my marks, for my appearance ,my choices, even the way I speak-has somehow become a part of a normal life

Today, while I woke up at 6 AM for school, the only thought which struck my mind was,” why do I keep doing this?

Is life only about waking up ,going to school, studying, finishing homework, going to tuition, coming back home, exhausted sleeping, eating, and repeating the same cycle again and again?

A teenagers we are told that these are the best years of our livez.” but sometimes it doesn’t feel the way. it feels like you’re constantly trying to meet the expectations of our parents of our teachers and of society, Somewhere between all this We lose ourselves…

People often think that teenagers are just “being dramatic”. they don’t always give the pressure behind the smiles, the fair of failing , The anxiety before every exam.

Social media doesn’t make life easier . every scroll show someone achieving more making our self compare with someone else , giving more anxiety within,

There are days when I want to just pause every thing not because I want to giveup , just because I want to breathe. I want to read a book without worrying about the unfinished assignments I want to spend time with my family without thinking about tomorrow’s class I want to enjoy being teenager before adulthood, arrives with more responsibilities

But despite everything, I wake up in the morning and keep going without giving up

Maybe thats what a teenager, being really means-not having everything figured out, but just growing and learning without any specific plan..

But I’m sure one day this routine will change the stress will become into rest, and everything will be sorted out with success on the way,

Behind every test, this anxiety between every teenager behind every report card, there is hard work of each and each teenager behind every smile on a parent after receiving the child’s mark is the child waking up till midnight to study..

How do you see this teen's situation?

I can relate to this so much. in the last year of my school, I was told this is you last year, make the best of it. Meet friends, make memories, attend every single school celebration. But on the other hand I was also told that this was my last chance to make sure that my next 4-5 years are spend comfortably, I was told you study, to only care about my education, to put my all. In the mist of it all, I somewhere lost the real me. it felt like the walls were closing on me.
