A slow morning

Some morning skills is different even when nothing special happens.

There is no exciting plan, no important event and nothing particularly interesting. Waiting for the day to begin. Still, there are mornings when I wake up and do not immediately feel like rushing into everything.

One morning like that started with me staying in bed for a few extra minutes. Usually, the moment I wake up i start thinking about everything that I need to do. Sometime I check my phone, look at messages, Think about college work on mentally make a list of things that need to be finished. But this time, I just stayed there for a while.

The room was quite and there was no real reason to get up immediately. I look at the ceiling for a few minutes and slowly become aware of how peaceful the morning actually was.

Eventually, I get up open the window. The air felt a little cooler than I expected because last night it was raining. Outside, people were already starting their day. I could hear vehicles in the distance and occasional voices from outside.

Everything was moving, but I did not feel the need to move at the same speed.

I made myself something to drink and sit down without taking my phone with me. That part was probably the most unusual. I am so used to checking my phone whenever I have even a few minutes that sitting without. It felt little strange at first

After a while, I started enjoying it.

I was not doing anything productive. I was not studying, studying, planning or working. I was simply sitting there and drinking my tea. Normally, I might think that I was wasting time, but that morning I did not really care.

It made me realise how often we feel guilty for resting. Even when we have nothing urgent to do, we convince ourselves that we should be doing something useful. There is always another task, another message or another thing to finish.

But a slow morning reminded me that not every minute has to be productive. I eventually started going to ready for the day, but I did not feel as much as normally I do. Even some things like getting dressed, making breakfast and arranging my things felt easier because I was not trying to do anything at once.

Nothing important happened that morning. I did not accomplish anything extra extraordinary. I did not suddenly solve all my problems or make some major life decision.

Still, I liked how the day started.

Maybe sometime, we need morning like this. Not every day can be slow and not every day should be. There are deadlines, responsibility and the things that need our attention, but having an occasional morning where we simply take our time can be nice

By the time, I finally started my usual routine, I felt more awake less he irritated. The day ahead was still the same, but I felt slightly better prepared to deal with it.

It was just a slow morning, nothing more. But sometimes nothing more is exactly what we need.

This morning, you woke up and felt no need to rush. You

This is such a relatable reminder that rest doesn’t always need to be earned by being exhausted. I especially liked the idea that the day itself didn’t change, but starting it slowly changed how you felt about everything that came after. Sometimes a quiet cup of tea and a few minutes without your phone can genuinely make an ordinary day feel a little lighter.
