A little change
I randomly recur it to rearrange my room. I was not planning to do anything major, but somehow I started moving things around and then there was no going back. I started with one small change, and before I knew it, I had moved half the things in my room.
I first move my chair because I feel like it was in the wrong place. Then I thought the table would look better somewhere else. After moving the table, I realise that a few other things also need to be moved. This is how these things always happen. You started with one small change, and suddenly you are standing in the middle of the room, wondering what you have done,LOL.
I found an old notebook with some notes written in it. I opened a few pages and ended operating things instead of cleaning. I had written some completely random thoughts and reminders that made sense to me at that time, reading them now was actually funny. I could barely remember why I had written some of them.
After that, I continued cleaning. I wiped my table, arrange my books, folded a few clothes and finally cleared the small space near my bed that had slowly become a place for everything I did not know where to keep.
Once everything was done, my room did not look completely different, but it felt different. Maybe it was because the things were arranged in a new way. Sometimes changing the opposition of a few things is enough to make a familiar room feels fresh.
I also noticed that I felt strangely satisfied after finishing. It was not a huge achievement, but seeing everything in its place made me feel better. There is something nice about cleaning your own space. It feels like you’re doing something small for yourself.
The funniest part was that after spending so much time, arranging everything, I realise that I actually liked the original arrangement two. I stood in the middle of the room and thought was all of this really necessary? Maybe not, but I still enjoy doing it, LOL.
I think sometimes We just need a small change when everything start feeling repetitive. It does not have to be something dramatic. Moving a table, changing the position of a chair, organising your book or even changing the bed sheet can make the day feel slightly different.
By the evening, I was tried, but happy with how my room looked. I said on my chair, looked around and felt like small sense of satisfaction that comes after finishing something. You were not even planned to do.
It was a complete in ordinary day, but I liked it. Sometimes doing something as simple as rearranging, my room is enough to make me feel like I have given myself for tiny fresh start and that feeling quietly stays with me, even after everything is done and It makes me want to keep my space more organised every day going forward so it give me peace.
