A conversation after three years

AnonymousJul 29, 2026Dear One510 words

Today was a special day because I spoke to my teacher after almost 3 years. Since it was a group Purnima, I felt that it was the right time to reconnect and express my gratitude. I had not expected that a simple phone call would turn into such a beautiful conversation. When I called, hearing my teachers voice after such a long time felt familiar and comforting. Even though days had passed., the respect in connection, I felt reminded the same. Sometime, certain people hold an important place in our lives and time does not really change that bond.

The conversation lasted for almost an hour, but it did not feel that long. We talked about different things like life, study, experience, and how things have changed over the years. It was interesting to share where I am now and also listen to my teachers, thought and advice.

One thing I noticed was that a good teacher’s guidance stays with us even when we are no longer in the classroom. The lesson the teachers are not limited to books or subjects. They influence the way we think, make decision And face challenges in life.

Talking after three years also made me realise how much has changed during this time. I have grown, experienced new things and faced different situations. Was speaking with my teacher brought back memories of the time when I was learning under their guidance. It reminded me of the importance of those moments. Guru Pournima is not about thanking teachers for teaching us academically. It is also about appreciating the people who help us become better version of ourselves. Our teachers Words, encouragement, and support can stay with us for years and sometime, even when we do not realise it.

After ending the call, I felt grateful. It was a simple conversation, but it brought back many memories and emotions. I felt happy that I took the time to reconnect. Sometime we get busy with our own lives and Lose touch with people who was played an important role in a journey.

Today reminded me that some relationships do not need conversation to remain meaningful. A small effort, a phone call a message or a few words of gratitude can bring back a connection that has always been special.

I am thankful for the conversation and for the opportunity to speak with my teacher again after three years. It was not just a phone call. It was a reminder for guidance, learning, and memories that continue to stay with me.

This experience also taught me to the importance of expressing gratitude before it is too late. Often we assume that people will always be there, but time move quickly. Reconnecting with my teacher made me realise that even a short conversation can strengthen old Bones. I feel motivated to stay in touch more often and carry forward the values and lessons that i have learnt from my teacher in my daily life.

I will always respect my teacher and cherish this meaningful reconnect forever in my heart.
